Golam Murshed started his business carrier way back in 1980, as an exporter of non-traditional items like live frogs & crabs and chilled fishes representing a private limited company, Radiant Traders Ltd., as the Managing Director and the major shareholder. Then he took up a new venture and set up an export-oriented garments factory named ‘The Yolk Garments Ltd’ and became one of the few pioneers in the history of garments industry in Bangladesh. He put his full concentration in the development and expansion in garments industry by forming a group named BABYLON GROUP. In the late part of 90’s, he diversified his businesses and now representing the restructured group named OGRO GROUP as the Chairman. He Completed his Master’s in Business Management in 1980 from DU (Dhaka University), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Mehboob Chowdhury

Mehboob Chowdhury has been pioneering the telecommunication industry for more than 20 years in various Senior Management and strategic positions. He is the first Bangladeshi CEO of the telecommunication industry of the country. He was the Chief Commercial Officer (i.e. Head of Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Strategy and Customer Management) in Banglalink. He was the Head of Sales and Marketing in Grameenphone Ltd. He was Chairman of the Asia Pacific GSM Association and South Asia GSM Forum from July 2005 – June 2007. He is also the chairperson of the South Asia Mobile Forum. Mr. Chowdhury holds graduation and post-graduation degree in Management from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has been involved in planning, developing and implementing telecommunications for the emerging mass market as a tool to change common people’s lives; at the same time working towards developing the entire telecom market to increase scope of operations for all players. He has played key strategic roles and has been responsible for furthering the causes of operators in the Asia Pacific Region. Mr. Chowdhury has vast experience in the fields of Sales, Marketing, Distribution (Channel) and Customer satisfaction. He brings with him a success trail of implementing new and innovative ideas for marketing various products and services. He emphasizes in ethical practices for delivering the commitment made to the customers. His biggest achievement is the introduction of alternative delivery channel for the telecom sector, which has yielded in results which is much acclaimed today. His area of work also involved working with Regulators, Government and its Agencies for the development of the sector. So that the sector grows and contributes positively to the national economy. He has created network with Operators, Suppliers, Think Tanks in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Afghanistan. In the process he has worked with Board members and CEO and his Management Team and other experts in the region. He holds unparalleled experience and in-depth knowledge about these markets. Mr. Chowdhury, is a great lover of art and sports. He was actively involved with BCCB in its formative years for obtaining the Test Status and promoted Contemporary Art of Bangladesh at national and International Level. Mr. Chowdhury is an active Rotarian.
Engr. Shahidul Islam

Engr. Shahidul Islam has over 36 years of experience in mechanical engineering. Right after graduating from the country’s leading engineering university (BUET), Mr. Islam started in Dhaka Dockyard & Eng. Works Ltd. as Dockyard in charge. And since 1987 he is working as Managing Director of Designing and Planning Cell Ltd. & National Dockyard and Engineering Services (Pvt) Ltd., Proprietor of M/S. Abdullah Traders & EXIMCO and provided consultancy services on: Prepared Contract Agreement completed more than 100 residential houses of multistoried Building jointly with Civil Engineer. He also prepared contracts for 2 Textile complex buildings. Was involved in building of a dockyard with the assistance of Naval Architect. Prepared approx. 15 project Contact Agreement with and completed repair and modification works of BANGLADESH ARMY for supply machinery & equipment related to maintenance services of their RIVER CRAFTS at Postogola, Dhaka.
