Proposed LPG Plant - Site Overview

The Company has its own 9.34 acres of land for the project with LPG import jetty facility for 5,000 MT bulk LPG storage plant facility. Bulk LPG would be imported by tanker vessels from Qatar, Oman, and some other Gulf Countries to Mongla port. The lack of NG supply network in the south, coupled with reasonable water depth, led to Mongla being the heart of Bangladesh’s LPG import. The port of Mongla is the second busiest seaport of Bangladesh. The port has 11 jetties, 7 shades of loading and unloading of goods at 8 warehouses. The port has trade links with all most all major ports of the world, although vessels arriving here are mostly from ports of Asia, the Middle East, Australia, Europe and North America. The land for the LPG plant project is situated near Horina Ferry Terminal, Chandpur by the river of Meghna. Chandpur district is located in the east central part of Bangladesh. Chandpur town is divided by mighty Dakatia River, besides Meghna, Dhonagoda, Motlab, Udhamdi etc. are the mentionable rivers in Chandpur. Chandpur is a major jute-shipping Centre, connected by road and rail with Comilla, near the eastern border with India.
